Interim Reporting and Consolidation Systems Manager – Amsterdam Area


On behalf of one of our clients in the Amsterdam Area, DutchDare International is recruiting for an Interim Reporting and Consolidation Systems Manager (HFM). This assignment is open as of now and will last till at least year’s end. This assignment may be extended with 3 months.


The Reporting and Consolidation Systems Manager ensures that our client is running state-of-the-art, and efficient reporting and consolidation systems. With over 250 reporting entities in about 70 countries, it has a complex reporting structure aimed at providing timely and accurate financial information for external reporting, as well as for management reporting. The Reporting and Consolidation Systems Manager is managing these systems, from daily administration and maintenance, to enhancement projects, and developing new functionalities.

This role reports directly to the SVP Finance & Control.


The Reporting and Consolidation Systems Managers ensure that all reporting systems are technically and functionally working smoothly. The Systems Manager manages the following systems:

HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), used for reporting and consolidation

Smartview (reporting tool in HFM)

Merlin (Intercompany reconciliation tool)

Anaplan (IFRS 16 tool)

For all these systems, the Reporting and Consolidation Systems Manager will be responsible for the following activities:

Administration of all systems (user access maintenance, security, closing and opening periods, masterdata)

Provide first line support to all users

Maintenance of the systems

Prepare, test, and implement basic developments (new schedules, changes in hierarchies, calculations or masterdata…) in coordination with the reporting team and the FP&A team

Managing external vendors or stakeholders for the technical maintenance, upgrades or development activities and projects

Coordination with external vendors for the advanced maintenance or development activities and projects

Responsible for enforcing governance around all systems and compliance with internal/ external audit requirements

Keep all system documentation up-to-date

Prepare training material and provide basic and advanced training to users and super-users

Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all upstream systems are well configured and integrated smoothly in the reporting and consolidation systems

The Reporting and Consolidation Systems Manager is liaising with all stakeholders (reporting and Consolidation team, FP&A team, Business Line Controllers, Finance transformation team, IT, and external vendors) to ensure that our systems are meeting all requirements in order to support financial and management reporting

Functie eisen

  • Bachelor study in Accounting, Finance or Controlling
  • Minimum 7-year experience working with financial systems in a Financial or Systems Analyst role, in a dynamic, demanding and no-nonsense organization
  • Experience working with state-of-the-art systems
  • HFM or relevant financial consolidation system
  • Accounting and consolidation knowledge
  • Interest in and quick learner with financial systems
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Flexible, organized and well structured
  • Capable to work under time and functional pressure
  • Hands-on, can-do attitude, self-starter
  • Enthusiastic with no 9-to-5 mentality
